We are continuing to push forward with performance, platform stability, and regulatory updates this month across both the Arelle engine and the Arelle iXBRL Viewer.

This month’s release of Arelle 2.29.1 introduces early support for the upcoming EFM 24.2 update. Frozen builds now use Python 3.12, ensuring continued compatibility with the latest Python releases. We’ve also delivered a major performance improvement— loading xBRL-CSV reports is now up to 90% faster.

Other improvements include:
– OIM loading now works out-of-the-box, with no plugin required
– The validate/HMRC plugin has been renamed to validate/UK for clarity

The Arelle iXBRL Viewer 1.4.28 release adds support for vendor F19, improving coverage across multi-vendor workflows.
