We’ve got a lot to cover this month… lots of great improvements were released to the Arelle platform, including work on improving our support for XULE, which we look forward to continuing to improve in the future as part of our ongoing collaboration with Campbell Pryde and the team at XBRL US.

To kick things off, the Arelle viewer added two big features, support for multi-documents and the ability to disable viewer mode.

The Arelle 2.17.6 release features an ESEF 2023 preview, Netherlands validation plugin preview, XULE rule compiler multiprocessing, pip installed plugins being able to import other pip plugins and support for plugin aliases.

We also added support for archiving old and broken plugins to clean up the repo and are nearing completion on table linkbase support improvements and documentation for our most commonly used plugins.
