September was another active month of development for the Arelle project, with updates rolling out across versions 2.37.50 through 2.37.60. This cycle brings a healthy mix of platform usability enhancements, diagnostic upgrades, and crucial regulatory updates.

Here is a breakdown of what’s new:

  • Regulatory & Validation Enhancements: This release introduces preview builds for EDGAR 25.3 and adds further Japanese EDINET validation rules. We have also made key LEI validation improvements.
  • Usability & GUI Updates: To streamline your workflow, you can now load EDINET manifests directly from the GUI. We’ve also improved plugin discovery to make managing extensions a smoother experience.
  • Logging & Diagnostics: Developers and power users will benefit from improved IXDS model reference logging, making troubleshooting much more straightforward.

To get involved with future work, please join the Arelle team monthly standup on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 1400 UTC. Please contact us for meeting details.
