We are thrilled to kick off 2026 alongside our incredible Arelle and larger XBRL community! To start the new year strong, we have rolled out Arelle 2.38.7 and iXBRL Viewer 1.4.87, introducing several new draft validations and key infrastructure enhancements.

Here is what we worked on this month:

Regulatory & Validation Drafts

• 2025 Draft Standards: We have added draft validation support for both DBA 2025 and NL (Netherlands) inline 2025.
• KVK Enhancements: This release includes targeted validation rule improvements for the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK).

Platform & Infrastructure Upgrades

• Python 3.14 Support: We continue to ensure compatibility with modern environments by expanding Python 3.14 support to both the core Arelle platform and the iXBRL Viewer.
• CI Runner Overhaul: Our development workflow received a major boost with a complete overhaul of our CI conformance suite runner.
• Enhanced Type Safety: The iXBRL Viewer now includes full type hints for better code maintenance and developer experience.
